Focus on substation and interconnection design through the MV distribution backbone of our data center campuses and protection schemes.
Be a technical leader on projects involving utility-scale interconnections at 138kV+, collaborating directly with utilities, ISOs, third-party engineering firms, and equipment manufacturers.
Support design for Data Center medium voltage distribution and own the technical quality of HV/MV designs.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in electrical power system design with a strong focus on HV/MV systems, substations, and/or utility-scale interconnections.
Experience in data center or mission-critical MV distribution design.
Strong working knowledge of protection coordination principles, relay setups and sequence of operations.
Proficiency with SEL, Schneider, Siemens, or ABB relay platforms, digital substations, rugged server and various protection protocols.
Proficiency with power systems analysis software such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or others.
Direct experience with utility interconnection processes in at least one of the following ISO regions: ERCOT, PJM, MISO, or CAISO, is preferred.
Familiarity with NERC reliability standards and bulk electric system interconnection requirements is a plus.
Experience Testing and Commissioning HV/MV systems is a plus.
Experience with emerging power generation technologies such as fuel cells, on-site generation, or battery energy storage integration at the MV level is a plus.
Prior experience at a utility, EPC firm, or hyperscale data center operator (AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft) is a plus.
