Role Overview
- Lead, develop and manage associate veterinarians in their hospitals
- Ensure quality care and hospital performance measures
- Perform regular hospital visits and quality audits
- Develop, coach, and manage associate veterinarians
- Drive a successful and growing doctor team through recruiting
- Support engagement and retention of certified veterinary technicians (CVTs)
- Responsible for medical equipment inventory
- Ensure hospital operations meet regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
- Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with the applicable state veterinary board.
- 3 years experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.
