About this role
Role Overview
Own the Debit Card product analytics measurement strategy: define KPIs, metric definitions, instrumentation needs, and governance across key debit journeys including acquisition, activation, engagement, spend, attrition, and lifecycle performance.
Develop and maintain core debit performance metrics, such as active card rate, transactions per active card, spend per active card, interchange revenue, merchant mix, cohort retention, and customer engagement trends.
Write and optimize complex SQL to extract, transform, and model data from enterprise sources (e.g., Snowflake, EDW, SQL Server); perform data validation, reconciliation, anomaly detection, and lineage documentation to ensure data quality and trustworthiness.
Build reproducible analytics using SAS (and Python where applicable) to support cohort analysis, lifecycle and engagement segmentation, behavioral trend analysis, forecasting, and root cause investigations; package code for reuse and scalability (e.g., macros, modules, notebooks).
Design and evaluate test and learn initiatives (A/B tests, holdouts, incrementality analyses) to measure the impact of debit engagement, marketing, or product initiatives; define success metrics, measurement plans, and causal readouts, and translate results into product and marketing actions.
Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reporting (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) with scheduled refreshes, executive ready views, and clearly documented metrics that support ongoing debit performance monitoring and decision making.
Partner closely with Product and Agile delivery teams to support pre and post launch analysis of debit initiatives, quantify business impact, and prioritize optimization opportunities based on data and evidence.
Operate an analytics intake and delivery workflow: scope requests, prioritize work, communicate interim insights, and present final recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, structured, and decision-oriented manner.
Ensure compliance with data security, access controls, and regulatory expectations when working with PCI and consumer transaction data, and when sharing analytics outputs with internal or external partners.
Reviews and modifies existing products to maximize profitability and meet customer needs.
Oversees all tasks associated with new product development and works with business units to introduce and sell the product on an ongoing basis.
Develops and oversees the production of marketing materials, advertisements, direct mail, and/or other communications.
Evaluates products and recommends changes in the product or marketing strategy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
