About this role
Role Overview
Support the Engineering Manager in the horizontal organization of this competence, in structuring strategies/directions and in driving them with teams, together with other Chapter Leads and Specialists in the horizontal;
Lead attraction and development strategies for software development professionals (1:1s, Individual Development Plans, hiring/termination);
Within the vertical you are part of, act as a leader supporting product leadership in structuring teams and the technical foundation required for the product to function well;
Carry out people management and development activities;
Support the horizontal’s operations so that processes, tools and capacity are adequate for developers to perform their activities together with the verticals, enabling high-quality product deliveries;
Drive software engineering topics with leaders of other technical horizontals, seeking to understand business strategy and the product roadmap, ensuring progress of deliveries through established directives;
Pair with GPMs and PMs to understand the main business challenges;
Promote adoption of new technologies aligned with the architectural model to solve business problems;
Connect with other technology areas to enable business demands and needs.
Requirements
Availability to work in a hybrid model: 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. Role can be based in Porto Alegre or São Paulo, SP.
Software development experience;
Processes and management based on metrics;
Technology management experience;
Ability and understanding of operating within organizational structures (Horizontal and Vertical);
Direct people leadership experience;
Agile methodologies, Lean and Kanban;
Technical knowledge in software architecture and engineering;
Strategic vision and ability to navigate between the company’s technical and strategic levels;
Strong communication and storytelling skills;
Basic knowledge of the financial market (banking and investments);
