Role Overview
- Lead all Finance, Accounting, and Reporting processes for the DACH region
- Oversee accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings under US GAAP and Local GAAP
- Maintain a robust internal control environment, ensuring full SOX compliance
- Lead an experienced team across Accounting, Finance Administration, and Credit Control
- Define clear structures, efficient processes, and modern ways of working
- Develop talent and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and collaboration
- Act as a trusted advisor to the DACH leadership team
- Support strategic and operational decisions with clear financial insights
- Ensure transparency on performance, risks, and opportunities
- Drive process optimization, automation, and standardization
- Lead ERP implementations and continuous system improvements
- Support smooth integration into Shared Service Center environments
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations
- Liaise closely with auditors, tax advisors, and authorities
- Guarantee timely and accurate filings and documentation
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar
- Additional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are ideal
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in an international finance environment
- Strong expertise in US GAAP and SOX/Internal Controls
- Solid knowledge of German statutory and tax regulations
- Proven leadership experience and enjoy developing people
- Comfortable in an international, matrix‑driven organization
- Communicate effectively in both German and English
