We’re hiring a Business Developer to secure battery supply across multiple categories—new batteries from battery OEMs, used batteries, and surplus/oversupply stock (e.g., from automotive OEMs, Tier-1s, integrators).
You’ll work closely with our sales operations team, legal, and finance to ensure that sourced batteries are tradeable, bankable, and fit for customer requirements.
This role is commercially driven and relationship-heavy, combining sourcing/origination, market intelligence, and deal execution.
You’ll work closely with quality, logistics, legal, and sales teams to ensure that sourced batteries are bankable, traceable, and fit for customer requirements.
Build a sourcing strategy by category: new batteries, used and surplus (cells/modules/packs).
Identify and approach supply partners; map decision-makers across procurement, aftersales, engineering, and sustainability teams.
Create a qualified supply pipeline with clear attributes: chemistry, form factor, volumes, timing, location, documentation, and constraints.
Qualify supply streams for technical suitability and commercial viability (chemistry/form factor, configuration, condition & grading, compliance/documentation).
Coordinate with internal teams to define acceptance criteria and incoming inspection requirements.
Requirements
3–8+ years in business development, sourcing, procurement, or origination within batteries, automotive, energy storage, electronics, recycling, or industrial supply chains.
Proven ability to negotiate and close B2B agreements with senior stakeholders.
