Manages the technology solutions for DAR which may include training, technical support, and oversight of the tools.
Meet and collaborate with DAR staff to interpret business needs and assist in providing technical solutions to attain the users’ end goals.
Learns capabilities of technology tools and helps department take advantage of full offerings of technology.
Stay informed on new technology to assist in maximizing efficiencies and achieving departmental goals.
Look beyond symptoms to uncover underlying causes of problems and identify ways to resolve them.
Demonstrate a sense of ownership, focusing on and driving critical issues to closure.
Demonstrate strong understanding of the Salesforce data to identify and elevate opportunities.
Handle sensitive donor, parent, friend, and student information in the strictest confidence, according to departmental and institutional policies.
Work cooperatively with Development and Alumni Relations colleagues.
Maintain strong and effective relationships with Vanderbilt faculty and staff external to DAR.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is necessary
5 to 7 years of relevant experience is necessary
Background in supporting technology tools such as Salesforce, Salesforce managed packages, Apsana, AI, GiveCampus, Mythos or similar tools
Superior verbal and written communication skills are necessary
Ability to exercise good judgment in the handling of confidential information
Ability to use current computer technology, such as Windows, Excel, Word, Teams, Salesforce, and Salesforce related applications
Candidate must also have the capacity to perform in an intellectually rigorous and complex academic environment
The ability to apply sound judgment in all situations is required, as are excellent organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities are essential
