Managing a team of talented and ambitious engineers, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.
Conducting weekly or bi-weekly one-on-one calls with team members, fostering their well-being, defining their goals, and checking on the progress of these goals.
Mentoring junior developers and establishing best coding and engineering practices for the shared codebase.
Collaborating with other engineers and tech teams to define shared standards, best coding practices, and enforce a design-first approach.
Acting as the primary catalyst between Product, Delivery, and your team to ensure our solutions maintain high quality, are delivered on time, and are commercially viable.
Requirements
Proven experience in people management is essential.
You have a track record of hiring, mentoring, and setting OKRs for high-performing product teams.
5+ years in software development in Kotlin, microservices and event driven systems, with a strong focus on API-first products and developer experience.
You have worked with finance in any shape or form and understand the scrutiny and rigid requirements for consistency, quality, and properly-designed solutions.
You worked or have a proficient knowledge about payments and various cycles of payment flows and schemes.
