Perform design and development tasks from concept to implementation, including CAD design, dimensioned drawings, prototype assembly/testing, tooling design, manufacturing process instructions, V&V, etc.
Study and evaluate disciplinary or interdisciplinary aspects of new product or design concepts (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, firmware, software).
Plan and direct design testing to ensure performance at all stages of design and development.
Thoroughly document assigned development tasks including defining specifications, evaluating risk, determining test procedures, defining acceptance criteria, communicating test results, and executing Engineering Change Orders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited higher education institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the design and development of machined parts and/or cast or molded components.
Consistent usage of a solid modeling CAD package.
Experience creating design layouts and tolerance studies.
Experience with data acquisition and analysis.
