About this role
Role Overview
- Design mechanical systems, components, or assemblies using engineering principles
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to create unique high-level concepts and designs for all assigned projects
- Conduct field surveys to identify existing equipment types and system capabilities
- Produce design documents including drawings, system flow diagrams and architecture, wiring diagrams, construction details, and equipment scheduling
- Deliver concepts and designs according to strict project deadlines
- Contribute to all areas of the creative process and department
- Perform work under direct supervision
- Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
- Assist with the development of technical reports or related documents
- Other duties as assigned or required
Requirements
- Associate degree in HVAC Technology, Building Systems Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 1-2 years' experience with building construction, especially mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or automatic temperature controls
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
- Strong technical skills
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Vision and Creativity
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Planning skills
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
