About this role
Role Overview
Support our growing Energy Business Line’s Engineering Center of Excellence
Act as the electrical P&C lead and engineer of record for projects
Responsible for electrical engineering design work
Work with Project Engineer and Project Manager on design schedules and budgets
Perform power system studies and protection settings coordination
Generate basis of design documentation for protection settings
Support projects during construction, start-up, and commissioning
Review engineering work performed by peers
Attend client meetings
Mentor early career engineers
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
6 years of relevant protection and controls experience or equivalent education
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
Preferred: 10 yrs experience with a minimum of 2 years as project lead
Knowledge of FERC and NERC requirements
Experience with IEC61850
Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish
Plant Startup and Commissioning Field Experience
Power systems analysis software experience (SKM, EasyPower, Etap)
Relay coordination utilizing ASPEN OneLiner
Experience developing native relay setting files
Distribution automation experience
Experience working in collaborative 3D model environments (e.g. Navisworks)
