Processing patient insurance information through the patient intake process
Ensuring timely and accurate submission of insurance claims
Collecting payment on outstanding patient balances
Communicating with insurance payers to ensure proper insurance coverage for our patients
Reviewing and submitting system setup requests to appropriate teams
Collaborating with other revenue operations teams
Partnering with clinics teammates to ensure timely and accurate insurance information
Identifying process changes and opportunities for continuous improvements
Maintaining current patient account information
Maintaining confidentiality of all company and patient information
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of revenue cycle, insurance rules, and regulations for federal, state, and/or managed care payers in multiple states
Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement practices
Usage of DaVita billing and reimbursement systems
Basic medical reimbursement terminology
Basic knowledge of healthcare reimbursement accounting principles.
