Role Overview
- Drive the evolution of data and intelligence capabilities across the enterprise.
- Deliver enterprise-wide reporting and analytics solutions aligned with strategic roadmap.
- Embed best practices, standardize reporting, and optimize development processes.
- Manage a growing team of BI Analysts and guide them in a collaborative environment.
- Design policy and deployment of a comprehensive reporting framework.
- Implement robust data governance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of reporting outputs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver impactful solutions.
- Represent the BI team in daily stand-ups and manage backlogs with clearly defined Jira stories.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Over 7 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and Report Builder.
- Skilled in building paginated reports, embedding Power BI content into applications, and implementing robust Row-Level Security (RLS) for secure data access.
- Deep understanding of Power BI service administration, including workspace governance, deployment pipelines, and tenant-level configurations.
- Advanced skills in dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schemas, and crafting intuitive, insight-driven visualizations.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, particularly in the data warehousing and One Lake components.
- Expertise in Power Automate and PowerApps for workflow automation and low-code application development.
- Proven track record in designing and maintaining enterprise-grade data warehouses using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and related tools.
- Strong command of SQL Server, T-SQL, and the broader Microsoft data ecosystem.
- Experienced in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), SDLC, and tools like Jira and Azure DevOps for backlog management and CI/CD pipelines.
- Skilled in navigating stakeholder relationships and aligning team efforts with broader business objectives.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant field, with a commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with emerging BI trends.
