Role Overview
- Deliver accurate and well-controlled period-end close activities for an assigned business area
- Prepare, review and post journals with clear supporting evidence and audit trails
- Maintain balance sheet integrity through reconciliations, issue identification and timely resolution
- Provide high-quality actuals and variance analysis to support the wider Finance function.
- Produce consistent management accounting outputs that support insight and decision-making
- Resolve accounting and close-related queries efficiently, escalating when needed
Requirements
- Strong understanding of management accounting, period-end close and balance sheet controls
- Experience preparing journals, reconciliations and variance analysis
- Ability to apply sound accounting judgement to interpret and validate financial data
- High attention to detail with focus on data quality, controls and auditability
- Strong analytical skills, able to explain financial movements clearly and concisely
- Effective communicator who works collaboratively across finance teams
