Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department
Ensure compliance with fiscal policies and procedures
Maintain a strong internal control environment
Manage accounting operations to ensure timely and accurate general ledger and records
Analyze financial statements and other performance indicators
Plan and execute department strategies
Coordinate and collaborate with contract bookkeeping organization
Plan, coordinate, and manage the annual financial audit and Form 990 tax filing
Maintain Fixed Assets and documentation
Create annual Form 1099 documents
Manage the annual budget process in collaboration with the Director of Finance & Administration and the Director of Operations & Engineering
Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures relevant to work performed in the department
Provide recommendations for financial management and operational efficiency
Maintain banking and auditor relationships
Manage relevant accounting systems
Manage multi-state business registrations
Work closely with project managers and other staff

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management or related field
10+ years of accounting, finance, and/or business is required
Two years of supervisory experience required
Minimum of two years’ experience in nonprofit accounting is required
Proficiency with enterprise resource planning systems, HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with NetSuite preferred.
