Plans, directs, organizes, leads, and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department and other designated patient care support services
Oversees goal setting, budget management, and results
Develops and implements systems that enable consistent evaluation of care provided
Manages budget in response to department requirements and monitors budget reports
Assists in the development and implementation of policies/protocols/standards designed to facilitate improved care practices
Coordinates projects to meet established objectives and to operationalize LVHN vision
Develops measurable goals for the department consistent with mission and strategic plan
Administers interviews; selects and hires all department personnel
Monitors outcomes of budgets, clinical interventions, and customer satisfaction
Participates in research and integrates appropriate research findings into delivery of patient care
Provides clinical, consultative, technical, or informational services as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Science, Business, or related field
Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, Science, Business, or related field
5 years of Healthcare Administrative experience in an acute care environment
Understanding of Respiratory Therapist and designated patient care support services responsibilities
