Responsible for developing and maintaining system verification and validation plans of the Telesat LEO constellation communication system.
Participate in various testing activities across the Telesat Leo system with vendors and other partners.
Responsible for maintaining the lab.
Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering
8+ years of experience in satellite communications or large scale telecom systems
Develop and maintain system and sub system verification matrices for operational, autonomy, resilience, and availability requirements (NOC/SOC autonomy, redundancy, failover, graceful degradation).
Lead system level operational test planning, execution, and reporting, including:
o Primary/secondary NOC, SOC, and CSOC failover
o Autonomy periods during GNSS outages and loss of control segments
o Progressive deployment and service continuity scenarios
Serve as System Operations SME, supporting NMS, EMS, OSS/BSS and satellite operations teams.
Define and execute LEOP, IOT, commissioning, and service activation test scenarios from a system perspective.
Develop and maintain operational testbeds simulating outages, degraded modes, and recovery workflows.
Perform hands-on testing in the LEO Lab for operational workflows, monitoring, alarms, and recovery.
Validate FCAPS, telemetry, logging, anomaly detection, and root cause investigation capabilities.
Support System Acceptance Planning for LEOP and IOT phases.
