About this role
Role Overview
- As an AWS Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions that meet business requirements and align with the organization's strategic goals.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, develop architectural frameworks, and ensure the successful delivery of AWS-based projects.
- Involve in evaluating cloud technologies, creating solution designs, and providing technical leadership.
- Drive comprehensive AWS architecture across a diverse ecosystem, including compute, storage, networking, databases, analytics, and security services.
- Architect highly integrated solutions that effectively support critical business domains such as Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Experience.
- Transform complex enterprise applications into optimized, cloud-ready architectures leveraging AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, and API Gateway.
- Define and standardize crucial cloud metrics and KPIs across IT, finance, sales, supply chain, and manufacturing domains to ensure consistent reporting and analysis.
- Architect and oversee efficient data pipelines and ETL frameworks using AWS Glue and other analytics services.
- Lead integration of ERP, CRM, and external data sources into AWS data lakes, ensuring scalability, performance, and data quality.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure well-documented, secure, and resilient architectures.
- Support operational and reporting requirements by delivering comprehensive data and analytics models.
- Offer technical oversight for API strategies, IAM policies, and secure data access patterns.
- Lead troubleshooting of cloud-related issues in production environments and collaborate with support teams to resolve root causes.
- Ensure solutions adhere to governance, security, and compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC2.
- Serve as the primary AWS advisor to business and IT stakeholders, ensuring strong alignment between cloud capabilities and business goals.
- Facilitate and lead architecture sessions with product owners, developers, and analysts to validate designs and drive adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 8+ years of IT/Cloud experience
- 8–12 years in Solution Architecture or related roles
- At least 5 years of AWS-specific architecture experience
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring cloud engineering teams
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation, IAM, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native data modeling, SQL, and analytics solutions (Glue, Athena, QuickSight)
- Familiarity with integration tools and frameworks (API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, etc.)
- Deep understanding of key business metrics in IT, finance, sales, logistics, and manufacturing, and how they translate into cloud solutions
- Ability to translate business requirements into robust, scalable AWS architectures
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse teams
- Collaborative, agile mindset with ability to operate in cross-functional teams and demonstrate leadership within those teams
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus
