Senior Tire Testing Engineer

Role Overview

• Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently.
• Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.
• Supports continuous improvement activities.
• Applies engineering principles to execute subjective and objective Ride, Handling and NVH tests.
• Executes subjective and objective testing of prototypes.
• Executes the development and use of data acquisition systems in support of objective evaluations.
• Establishes solid relationships through strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Captures institutional knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree (BSME/BSEE)
• Strong interest or experience in automotive industry
• Experience with vehicle or automotive component testing including NVH and signal processing
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to work independently and may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
