Business Product Owner

Role Overview

• Act as the main point of contact for Technical Product Owners (TPO) on business applications, products, or client requests
• Help develop and implement business/technical requirements from concept to launch and oversee projects
• Influence technical design decisions and provide technical support
• Work with business sponsors, TPO, and System Engineering teams to define business requirements for new and updated applications, products, or client requests
• Stay current with new technical tools and methods to support business needs in the digital BPO space
• Use Express Scripts project tools and methodologies to drive business applications, products, or client requests
• Attend key meetings, ceremonies, and release planning to ensure successful adoption through training or documentation
• Regularly communicate progress and updates to stakeholders
• Prioritize and manage workload to meet project deadlines

Requirements

• A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience with program management or as a product owner preferred
• Knowledge of agile methodology required
• Proficiency in Jira preferred
• General knowledge of Pathfinder and Polaris required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite preferred
• Knowledge of how to create a process map preferred
• Strong business, technical, and financial acumen preferred
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment preferred
• Excellent communication (oral and written), facilitation, presentation, and organization skills required
• Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational capabilities preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well in an ambiguous environment preferred
