Role Overview
- Strengthening manager capability
- acting as the go-to partner for managers to help them address issues early, set clearer expectations, and run structured feedback conversations.
- Driving early performance intervention
- helping managers identify and handle underperformance quickly and constructively through structured improvement plans.
- Resolving complex people situations
- leading our approach to grievances, disciplinary matters, and sensitive conflicts with clarity and professionalism.
- Supporting consistent performance management
- ensuring reviews are thoughtful, evidence-based, and consistently applied across all teams at Beam.
- Maintaining Team health
- building relationships with Team leads to surface risks around trends or engagement before they escalate.
- Acting as a champion for accountability
- helping managers reach clear, fair decisions quickly to maintain a culture of high performance.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in People Partnering or ER
- specifically within a startup or fast-paced environment, with a heavy focus on manager enablement and performance.
- A strong sense of diplomacy
- you know how to navigate sensitive employee situations with professionalism and reduce risk to the company.
- A creative, growth mindset
- you don’t just follow a handbook; you bring novel ideas to improve team dynamics and manager confidence.
- Incredible discovery techniques
- strong listening and questioning skills to uncover the root causes of performance issues and identify the best path forward.
