About this role
Role Overview
Process court publications, schedule deadlines in the system, analyze more complex cases, prepare reports, and meet deadlines;
Draft defenses, counterclaims, and appeals (Recurso Inominado, Appeal/Apelação, Motion for Clarification/Embargos de Declaração, Recurso Especial
REsp, Recurso Extraordinário
RExt, Internal Appeal/Agravo Interno, Agravo nos Autos in REsp and RExt), prepare simple and, primarily, more complex pleadings and submissions;
Prepare procedural documents, manage deadlines, and have experience handling the following types of actions:
Bank as defendant (or passive party): Economic Plans/Inflationary Expurgos/IDEC/INCPP, Revisional Actions, Claims for Damages (Indemnity Actions), Declaratory Actions, Actions to Demand Accounting, Precautionary (Interim) Measures, Tax Enforcement Proceedings;
Conduct cases in the merits phase and in the enforcement or liquidation of judgments;
Respond to all inquiries sent by the client via the internal system (DMIs);
Handle client requests submitted via spreadsheet;
Manage the most complex cases and urgent measures requested by the client;
Enter procedural information into the firm’s case management system as part of the SIGA project developed by the client;
Analyze requests for self-dismissal and waivers of appeals;
Draft all types of appeals;
Prepare reports and respond to client queries arising from DMI requests;
Comply with the provisions of the Banco do Brasil Outsourced Legal Services Manual, the bank’s rules and guidelines, and the client service workflows.
Requirements
Active OAB/SP bar registration;
Minimum of 3 years practicing as an attorney;
Experience in law firms, preferably with mass/high-volume litigation;
Proficiency in drafting complex defenses and appeals;
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
