About this role
Role Overview
Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer business drivers, networking environments, and security requirements.
Design and articulate scalable Networking architectures incorporating secure SD‑WAN, SSE, identity‑based access, and firewall technologies.
Deliver high‑impact product demonstrations, workshops, and proof‑of‑concepts showcasing HPE Networking offerings.
Position and integrate solutions across the broader HPE and Networking portfolio.
Support sales pursuits by responding to RFPs, RFIs, and networking questionnaires.
Collaborate closely with account managers, specialist peers, partners, and services teams.
Present confidently to both technical audiences and executive stakeholders.
Provide field feedback to product management and engineering teams.
Travel across operation to support customer meetings and industry events.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in technical presales, sales engineering, or solution architecture roles
Hands‑on experience with Networking technologies and hardware solutions
Strong understanding of security technologies such as firewalls, IPsec, SSL‑VPN, IDS/IPS, L2L3, etc.
Solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, BGP, and OSPF
Familiarity with identity and access concepts including SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and role‑based access control
Working knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud)
Comfortable delivering live demos, whiteboarding architectures, and running customer POCs
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
Self‑motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving, team‑oriented sales environment.
