Assist with month-end close procedures, including monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts, and preparation of journal entries in compliance with US GAAP.
Maintain and monitor the Company’s general ledger (GL) and be responsible for obtaining supporting documentation for the GL activities, with a focus on revenue recognition.
Collaborate with Billing & Collections teams on customer invoicing and payment issues.
Prepare fluctuation analysis for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end periods for management reporting.
Assist the Accounting Manager in establishing validation procedures to support both internal and external monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements.
Assist in preparing for financial audits and responses to queries from external auditors.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring adherence to company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Document accounting policies, procedures, and technical accounting analyses as required.
Interact with various levels of staff and management across Accounting as well as other departments to obtain information, resolve issues and provide support on ad hoc projects, as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
0-2 years of experience
CPA eligibility or certification preferred
Ability to effectively extend knowledge and skills in a financial discipline
Ability to review, interpret, and explain financial data
Strong general accounting skills and thorough knowledge of US GAAP and proposed new accounting standards
The ability to research and interpret basic accounting guidance
