This role is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of Public Policy Centre outputs including high-impact events, panels, workshops, and publications within CSA Standards.
Provides operational leadership across the Public Policy team, managing workflows, resources, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure high quality outputs are delivered on time.
Manages the Public Policy Project Managers and maintain strong working relationships with Senior Public Policy Managers and external vendors.
Leads and coordinates workflows between policy publications and events to ensure alignment of timelines and outputs (e.g., resource allocation, potential risks).
Leads the policy report publication process to ensure a high editorial standard (e.g., copy edit, design, translation, etc.).
Leads the development and execution of public policy events (e.g., contacting panelists, booking venues, coordinating logistics).
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in public policy, communications, project management, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in project management, production, operations or related roles, ideally in research, government or nonprofit setting.
3-5 years in a leadership role that includes coaching and developing a team.
Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
Bilingual in English and French would be an asset.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management software, as well as web-based meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom, etc.
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation) – communicates effectively and professionally.
