Read and interpret customer contracts to identify terms and conditions that impact revenue recognition in a customer‑centric and accountable manner.
Assist the Revenue Operations team in setting up ASC 606 revenue recognition models, ensuring consistency, technical accuracy, and alignment with company policy.
Execute quarterly revenue close activities in a timely, accurate, and well‑documented manner.
Manage SOX compliance related to revenue recognition controls with a strong focus on accountability and reliability.
Support internal and external audits through clear documentation, responsive communication, and collaborative engagement.
Collaborate closely with Revenue Operations while building effective working relationships across Finance and non‑Finance teams, including Sales, Legal, and Operations.
Partner with Revenue Operations on reviews of new contracts, amendments, and statements of work (SOWs) to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policy.
Identify, document, and communicate complex revenue accounting matters to stakeholders and auditors in an authentic and clear manner.
Prepare technical accounting memoranda under US GAAP.
Assist with annual standalone selling price (SSP) calculations.
Collaborate with Sales and Legal teams to provide guidance on finance and revenue‑related terms within customer contracts.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of revenue policies, procedures, and processes in an agile and innovative technology environment supporting Utilities and Energy customers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
7+ years of accounting experience with complex revenue recognition
Applied, hands‑on understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance
Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to independently resolve complex issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities with a high level of accountability
Effective leadership, delegation, and prioritization skills with experience working in large or distributed teams
Ability to build collaborative, cross‑functional relationships across Finance and non‑Finance teams
Strategic thinker with sound judgment and a continuous improvement mindset
Adaptability and agility in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
Proficiency in Excel.
Public accounting experience; Big Four preferred.
CPA preferred.
FP&A experience.
Experience with Salesforce, Oracle, Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate, or AI‑enabled tools.
Experience supporting a technology company operating in the Utilities and Energy sector.
