Role Overview
Analyze product usage data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of opportunity
Maintain and improve recurring reports on product usage, customer behavior, and key performance metrics
Work with existing SQL queries and dashboards; modify and build new queries over time
Partner with Product and Customer Support teams to synthesize insights from NPS scores, support tickets, and user feedback
Develop a holistic view of how customers use Lex Machina, and help communicate that perspective to internal teams
Identify gaps in data tracking and recommend improvements to instrumentation and reporting
Support Product Managers by owning and systematizing ongoing reporting and analysis workflows
Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to ensure accuracy and accessibility of product data
Contribute to product discussions by grounding decisions in data and observed user behavior, rather than focusing on feature scoping or delivery management
Learn the Lex Machina product in depth and understand how different users derive value from it
Requirements
BA/BS required
0–2 years of experience in a professional, analytical, or product-related role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects with limited oversight
Experience working with data in tools such as Excel or Google Sheets
Basic familiarity with SQL, or willingness to learn quickly on the job
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and insights
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistent, reliable output
Interest in SaaS products, analytics, and data-driven decision making
Experience with SQL and/or Python for data analysis
Familiarity with product analytics, reporting, or dashboarding tools
Experience working in a SaaS or technology environment
Exposure to customer support data, NPS, or user feedback analysis
Familiarity with legal technology or the legal industry
