Develop legal expertise and establish primary responsibility and accountability for identified projects and/or legal work mainly related to the legal needs of TruStage Investment Management.
Work collaboratively with TruStage Investment Management, other business clients, and other attorneys within the Legal Department.
Provide legal advice, opinions, and counseling to TruStage.
Determine, investigate, research, and analyze all legal aspects of projects.
Negotiate and draft legal documents.
Direct, manage and supervise outside counsel.
Represent TruStage before governmental, legislative and regulatory agencies and in trade association relations.
Participate in cross functional teams, committees, task forces, and special projects.
Requirements
Juris Doctor degree and continuing legal education within areas of specialty and responsibility.
Authorized to practice law in the State of Wisconsin or applicable jurisdiction.
Generally, three to five years of legal experience with overall expert (or developing expert) status in specific law areas.
Developing knowledge and experience in the processes and procedures necessary to effectively represent TruStage in the judicial system, before governmental and regulatory agencies and in legislative bodies.
