Accounting operations: Monthly close activities, reporting and account analysis for the Building Automation strategic business group. Partner with regional shared service centers. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting policies.
Business partnership: Support transactions and provide financial analysis and accounting insight to achieve desired business and accounting outcomes.
Financial reporting: Prepare schedules used in the quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes.
Audit and Controls: Respond to audit requests and inquiries supporting quarterly and annual financial statements as well as SOX and compliance testing.
Special projects: Execute projects such as support of acquisition or divestiture transactions and finance functional transformation.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in a large public accounting firm servicing public companies
CPA or equivalent certification (or actively working toward credentialing)
Experience with financial thoughtfulness and reporting
Attention to detail and strong thoughtfulness skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and business processes
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making and organization skills
Continuous learning mindset
Experience in Excel
SAP Experience preferred
