Our Chassis Suspension Development team is seeking passionate mechanical engineers to innovate new suspension-based chassis mechatronic products, taking products from CAD design to test track validation.
Create detailed mechanical designs for suspension actuators, including 3D modeling, drafting, and prototyping.
Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and durability requirements.
Perform simulations and finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate the performance and structural integrity of actuator components.
Optimize designs based on analysis results to improve efficiency and reliability.
Identify and select appropriate materials for actuator components, considering factors such as strength, weight, and cost.
Ensure materials meet industry standards and application requirements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing personnel.
Ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other system components and vehicle architecture.
Develop and execute test plans on-bench and on-vehicle to validate system performance and reliability.
Analyze test data and iterate on designs to address any issues or improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Advanced degrees or specialized courses in automotive design or vehicle dynamics preferred
5+ Years experience in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA (or similar software) for creating detailed mechanical designs and 3D models.
Deep understanding of chassis suspension systems, including but not limited to coil springs, shock absorbers, sway bars, and active-chassis products, with experience in designing and optimizing these systems.
Strong analytical skills for performing simulations and finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate and optimize the performance of mechanical components.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve design challenges.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Ability to document and present design processes, test results, and technical specifications clearly and concisely.
Hands-on vehicle experience and vehicle dynamics knowledge are strongly preferred.
