Develop strategic direction for risk, implement methodologies, and oversee risk department performance.
Manage relationships with risk stakeholders and maintain external service quality.
Adhere to risk policy and maintain control environment.
Lead teams in complex tasks and coach employees towards objectives.
Identify ways to mitigate risks and develop new policies/procedures.
Engage in complex data analysis to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Communicate complex information to stakeholders and influence decision-making.

Proven experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within a financial or business banking environment.
Ability to interpret and draw insights from data to inform risk assessments, business decisions, and strategic recommendations.
Ability to review and map customer journeys and processes to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Solid understanding of control frameworks and their application to ensure compliance, governance, and operational effectiveness.
Confirmed financial crime (FinCrime) screening experience.
Considerable stakeholder management skills.
