Drive the execution of RBC’s IAM strategic roadmap by partnering with the IAM Strategy team, tracking deliverables, and reporting progress to senior leadership
Act as a strategic advisor, translating business objectives into actionable IAM initiatives while ensuring alignment across the organization
Develop and deliver executive-level presentations to communicate IAM’s strategic direction and impact
Build influential relationships with stakeholders to advance IAM priorities in a complex environment
Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities to steer initiatives toward successful outcomes
Identify IAM trends, pilot innovative solutions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Apply deep working knowledge of IAM concepts and controls to provide strategic recommendations, identify gaps, and guide technical and business decisions
Oversee IAM communications strategy, including executive presentations, employee training programs, and engagement initiatives that build organizational capability and adoption
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated IAM experience in roles such as Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management, Authentication/Authorization, or equivalent security domains
Deep, hands-on knowledge of IAM concepts, controls, and industry best practices
7+ years of overall professional experience in technology, with Cyber Security or Identity & Access Management as primary focus areas
Proven track record managing complex, multi-year strategic roadmaps with demonstrated success delivering against business priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to operate effectively in matrixed, ambiguous environments and maintain reliability and transparency in high-pressure situations
Demonstrated experience working directly with C-suite and senior executives, translating strategic directives into operational excellence and exceeding their expectations consistently
Exemplary business acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to synthesize complex technical and analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences (technical and non-technical)
Expert-level proficiency in creating executive-level presentations using MS PowerPoint and other presentation tools, with demonstrated storytelling ability that influences decision-making
Professional designations such as Project Management Professional (PMP), CISSP, or Prosci change management certification (nice to have)
Experience in Financial Services or other highly regulated industries (nice to have)
Familiarity with governance frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, SOC 2) or compliance-driven environments (nice to have)
Experience with IAM platforms, tools, or implementations (Okta, CyberArk, Azure AD, SailPoint) (nice to have)
