Perform complex legal activities to protect the organization and ensure compliance
Provide legal advice to relevant managers
Review and approve legal contracts and other documents
Develop and implement streamlined policies and procedures
Prepare or review materials for external legal counsel
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation
Serve as legal advisor to GCM Division
Negotiate client agreements for services
Oversee external counsel used to support the GCM Division
Provide legal support for special projects

J.D. from an accredited law school
Minimum of 7 years' experience as an attorney or other relevant legal experience
Minimum of 5 years' work leadership experience
New York State or applicable state bar admission
Corporate Trust/Capital Markets subject matter expertise
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-intensive environment
Strong desire to support legal risk identification and evaluation
Strong communication skills to deal with various constituencies
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
