Role Overview
Performs benefit education and validation for inpatient benefits, authorization, and collecting patient liabilities
Handles the accurate verification and calculation of patient liabilities including previous balances and collection of patient payments
Works face to face with patients for estimated liability collection
Completes pre-registration and registration tasks while attempting to collect the patient’s financial liability
Monitors missed collection opportunities for potential process improvements
Makes follow-up phone calls and sends letters to post-discharge patients detailing estimated liabilities
Requirements
1+ years of customer service experience
Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences
High School Diploma/GED Required
CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) Required within 6 months of hire (Company Paid)
