Assistant General Counsel, Financial Regulation

Role Overview

• Provide legal counsel and regulatory support to the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners.
• Draft legislation, administrative rules, and bulletins.
• Represent the Department in administrative proceedings.

Requirements

• Admission to practice plus 8 or more years of relevant lawyer experience.
• Specific experience in health insurance, captive insurance, banking, securities, or administrative law.
• Candidates must be admitted to the Vermont Bar or eligible for admission without examination.
