Director of Design

Role Overview

• Establish a multi-year design roadmap
• Partner with Engineering and Product leadership
• Set the interaction principles and emotional guidelines
• Define and socialize the core design principles
• Set the bar for design talent at InStride
• Establish the methodologies for user research
• Own the design organization’s operational strategy
• Partner with Marketing and Growth leadership

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Product Design
• Exceptional ability to deconstruct complex healthcare problems
• Success in leading design for complex systems
• Proven ability to implement modern tools and AI
• Ability to make high-stakes trade-offs
• Proven ability to build deep, high-trust relationships
• Prior experience in a clinical or regulated health tech environment is highly preferred
