Direct clinical and administrative supervision of a team of certified addiction counselors (CAD-AD, CSC-AD, trainees).
Facilitate the day-to-day operations of substance use treatment programs.
Participating in the selection, evaluation, and when necessary, the termination of clinical staff.
Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
Oversee and manage weekly SUD Team Meetings.
Manage and maintain all aspects of the IOP, OP, and Early Intervention Intake and Assessment process.
Ensure the implementation of and adherence to IOP policies and procedures.
Recommend new clinical services, and/or modifications to existing clinical services.
Manage a caseload of dually diagnosed patients including treatment planning, individual and group counseling, and case management services.
Provide crisis counseling and general clinical coverage for clients as needed.
Requirements
Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Maryland and/or LCPC, LCSW-C (Preferred)
Master's Degree and LCADC (Preferred)
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Human Sciences AND Any of the following current certifications in good standing with the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists: CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC, LGPC, LCPC, LMFT
Must have an approved Supervisor status under the Maryland Board of Professional Counseling
At least 2 years of supervisory experience as a Board Approved Addictions Supervisor
Strong knowledge and skills to access, diagnose and treat medical and substance abuse issues
Familiarity with State Regulations (COMAR), DEA regulations, and CARF standards.
Excellent documentation and computer skills
Strong knowledge of Electronic Health Records
Subject matter expertise of local community drug trends, the process of addiction and treatment, social science, economic, legal and medical systems.
