Configure, test, and maintain tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, Thomson Reuters) and ERP systems for client projects
Automate tax processes and reporting workflows using data transformation tools and scripting solutions
Validate and process client data for accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
Work closely with customers to understand their needs, promote customer satisfaction, retention, and success
Ensure clients are provided high-quality and timely communications on all service components and deliverables
Review and analyze business process inputs, document variables and constraints, define prospective outcomes, and recommend solutions
Process and troubleshoot customer workflows using data transformation tools
Respond to client inquiries and provide support for tax engine functionality and process issues
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
Create, update, and enhance high-detail Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Provide break/fix resolution and ongoing tax solution maintenance to optimize efficiency and accuracy
Mentor and guide junior analysts; provide training and feedback to enhance team performance

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field required
2-3 year of professional experience; internship or related exposure
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong Excel and data modeling skills required
In-depth knowledge of indirect tax lifecycle and exemption certificate processes
Hands-on experience with tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, OneSource) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage client relationships effectively
Ability to lead projects and mentor team members in a fast-paced environment
