Role Overview
- Prepare and submit form, rate and/or rule filings with state insurance departments through SERFF
- Compile and submit new and revised policy forms, riders, applications, endorsements, rates, and rules
- Prepare supporting filing documentation including explanatory memoranda, certifications, and other materials
- Review filings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards
- Monitor calendar of regulatory filings
- Research state statutes, regulations, and bulletins applicable to insurance filings
- Communicate with state insurance departments, including responding to objections
- Maintain filed and non-filed forms and rates information on SharePoint
- Assist with special projects and other related duties as requested
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in insurance product filings
- Familiarity with product filing systems including SERFF and IRFS
- Experience managing multiple product filings and competing priorities
- Ability to monitor filing status and provide timely notification of objections and approvals
- Effective communication with Departments of Insurance and internal representatives
