Lead and execute cost reduction and value improvement projects across Direct Commodities in alignment with Commodity Managers.
Develop and apply target costing strategies in collaboration with R&D and Product Management.
Conduct cost breakdown analyses and challenge supplier pricing based on manufacturing processes and market benchmarks.
Benchmark global suppliers in alignment with Commodity Managers, identify the best cost sourcing opportunities and support, drive and lead complex negotiations with suppliers to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
Support early supplier involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects to ensure cost-effective design decisions in alignment with the Project Procurement Managers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
8+ years of experience in procurement engineering, cost engineering, or strategic sourcing
Familiarity with Advanced Cost Management Tools, such as Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Design-to-Cost (DtC), Clean Sheet Costing, Activity-Based Costing (ABC)
Proven track record in complex price and contract negotiations
