Act as the authority for safe work permitting for the facility.
Subject Matter Expert on Work Permitting Process (Permit Vision).
Identify & implement CPO process improvements.
Support technical training of other team members (4P qualified).
Monitor Permit Vision for work requests and process through the permit life cycle including review/approve/issue permits, review/approve/execute ICCs (LOTO), and review/approve Flush & Drain Plans.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Author ICC’s & Flush/Drain Plans.
Provide lead direction & support to junior team members.
Recognize the conditions of work that require Lockout/Tagout.
Assess all hazardous energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, thermal, and other sources in machines, equipment, and systems which can be hazardous to employees & other stakeholders onsite.
Use documented procedures and approved isolation devices to implement Lockout/Tagout.
Support adherence to key elements of OSHA regulations known onsite as the Ten Life Safety Rules.
Support adherence to all Quality & Environmental & EHS regulations within area of responsibility.
Continuous process improvement using cLEAN concepts.
Establish & maintain standards & operational procedures for the Central Permit Office.
Work daily with computer programs to perform tasks (Microsoft office suite, CMMS (SAP), Permit Vision, Robex, etc).
Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.

Requirements
HS Diploma or GED required
May consider an Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in engineering technology, maintenance, manufacturing or utilities required
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in engineering technology, maintenance, manufacturing or utilities required
Knowledge & experience in the operations, &/or maintenance of utilities &/or manufacturing equipment required
Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, cGMP, OSHA) required
Ability to use appropriate PPE, including PAPR required
Willingness to join and actively participate in the Emergency Response Team (ERT) preferred
Ability to read/review and understand P&ID, PFD, electrical schematics required
Strong communication skills across multiple organizational levels required
Understanding of Safe Work Practices required
Experience identifying and isolating hazards (LOTO) required
Willingness to join and actively participate as Health & Safety Representative (HSR) preferred
