The Senior Document Controller is responsible for the implementation of governance and management of records within the Asset and Network Planning Directorate.
This includes maintaining and organising policies, processes, procedures, and other data related to the management of highways assets.
Act as the first point of contact for FOIA requests.
Evaluate FOIA requests and draft initial responses, outlining key requirements and processes.
Collaborate with asset managers to obtain technical input and finalise responses.
Implement and maintain records management systems and procedures.
Conduct regular audits to ensure records are managed in accordance with established policies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Library Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in records management, preferably within a similar industry.
Strong understanding of records management principles and practices.
Experience of using SharePoint.
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to records management.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Full driving licence.
