A good academic background with a degree in civil engineering or geology / geoscience and a post graduate qualification in a geotechnical subject.
A good understanding of ground investigation techniques.
Proven site experience including ground investigation supervision, site walkover surveys/ geotechnical inspections.
Geotechnical design experience of structures, foundations and earthworks.
Experience in general numerical software such as Geostudio, Repute, Wallap etc.
Working towards Chartered status.
Experience of working in a fast‑moving engineering consultancy environment.
Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients and engineers from other disciplines.
Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self‑check and produce accurate work.
A willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas.
A valid UK driving licence.
