Execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the hybrid cloud infrastructure control plane
Align product goals with RBC's broader TI strategy and objectives.
Prioritize features and initiatives based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
Shape the internal product practice by identifying enhancements and developing new processes
Act as the primary liaison between technical teams (Cloud Engineering, Governance, Operations, Delivery) and business stakeholders.
Lead discovery sessions to gather customer requirements and collaborate with Engineering Leads to ensure alignment with technical deliverables.
Facilitate cross-team collaboration to address dependencies and unblock issues.
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of hybrid cloud solutions, ensuring adherence to requirements, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Manage the product backlog, including defining acceptance criteria to facilitate clear epics, and user stories
Build and prioritize work to enhance baseline metrics of organizational objectives and key results
Identify opportunities to enhance the usability, stability, and security of hybrid cloud platforms.
Ensure operational readiness by defining SLIs, SLOs, and incident management processes.
Collaborate with Cloud Operations and SRE teams to maintain platform reliability and scalability.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides and runbooks.
Support the development of regulatory evidence to demonstrate compliance with RBC standards
Requirements
Proven experience in product management, with a focus on cloud infrastructure, platforms, or related domains.
Strong understanding of Software Development and Delivery cycles, with experience in hybrid cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Azure-AKS and AWS-EKS platforms.
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Agile practices, including backlog management, estimation, sprint planning
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to analyze complex technical and business problems and deliver innovative solutions.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Hands-on experience working alongside Kubernetes cloud platforms or platform engineers (Nice-to-Have).
Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks for cloud platforms (Nice-to-Have).
Experience with cost management and optimization in cloud environments (Nice-to-Have).
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace) (Nice-to-Have).
Background in financial services or other highly regulated industries (Nice-to-Have).
