Acts as counsel at all investigative and trial levels of processing grievances against attorneys
Prosecutes trials and completes all legal functions in disciplinary cases as necessary to resolve cases
Conducts investigations, prepares pleadings, handles hearings and trials before Court-appointed referees
Prepares records for grievance committee meetings and provides counsel and advice to grievance committees
Makes decisions about complaints alleging violations of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Juris Doctorate and a Florida Bar Member in Good Standing
Three (3) years legal experience as an attorney in (1) effective case management, (2) trials, (3) pre-trial matters, and (4) development of trial strategy
Knowledge of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar
Familiarity with Bar disciplinary procedures
Understanding of Rules of Civil Procedure and legal terminology
Skills in using Adobe Acrobat and MS Word
Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively
Capacity to interpret policies and procedures and to function independently
