Role Overview
Serve as a senior legal advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic guidance on legal, regulatory, and business matters
Lead and manage a small team of attorneys or legal professionals, fostering development, collaboration, and high performance
Oversee the support of all products for Credit Risk Solutions including expansion into new areas of alternative data and potential international expansion of TruIQ solutions
Serve as the Cross Functional Leader for Credit Risk Solutions representing the legal team
Draft new contract templates for new products as they are approved
Anticipate legal risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned with business objectives
Advise on regulatory compliance matters, including FCRA, GLBA, ECOA
Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, product, technology, and business teams to support innovation and growth
Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory developments impacting the business
Engage and manage outside counsel for specialized legal matters or litigation support
Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of legal ethics and professionalism
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited school required
Qualified candidates must have an active license to practice law and be in good standing in the applicable state(s) of employment by the position start date (or as otherwise permitted by state rules)
Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, including at least 6 years supporting regulated industries
Demonstrated success in managing a solutions business and advising senior executives
Expertise in solution and product support, commercial contracting, and regulatory compliance
Strong understanding of laws and regulations relevant to financial services and data-driven businesses
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
Executive-level communication and advocacy capabilities
Proven ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization
Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with a global footprint
Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
