Role Overview
- Ensures and/or provides patient care in accordance with RN job description
- Assumes 24-hour accountability for management of patient care within assigned area
- Oversees administrative and operational issues for designated care delivery team
- Functions as a department team leader to support unit and hospital goals
- Uses effective communication styles with patients, staff, and colleagues
- Ensures staffing to meet patient care needs
- Coaches and mentors unit personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- 3 years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Proficient in clinical practice protocols for medical procedures and patient care
- Skilled in monitoring/assessing performance of self and others
- Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support
