Role Overview
- Performs routine high complexity analyses and interpretations of flow cytometry dot plots in the testing of leukemia and lymphoma specimens
- Analyzes data that comes from the lab
- Properly performs and documents quality assurance, quality control
- Properly prioritizes cases according to policy
- Adheres to all safety, quality control and documentation policies
- Recognizes problems that may adversely affect patient care and takes appropriate action
- Participates in required Continuing Education activities
- Serves as an example and resource to other testing laboratory personnel
- Assists in training of personnel
- Shows willingness to perform duties until they are complete
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- 1 or more years clinical laboratory testing experience
- 1 or more years experience in Flow Cytometry in a clinical lab preferred
- MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), CLS(NCA) or SCYM(ASCP) certification preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
- High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
- Able to travel onsite for onboarding and training
- Internet 100 Mbps minimum
