Role Overview
- Support the Health and Safety Manager to deliver the Health and Safety Plan for the site
- Act as the site administrator for Company SAM's system and the H&S SharePoint section
- Administer various meetings and working groups overseen by the Health and Safety Department
- Prepare Board reports, monthly reports and any supporting documents
- Produce accurate reports on incidents/accidents
- Monitor all incidents received and ensure they are logged and followed up
- Oversee outstanding and overdue incident investigations
- Support projects aimed to improve safety at the site
- Assist with site improvements and investigations
Requirements
- Proven experience in an office administration role, supporting a team
- Self-motivated, able to manage a varied workload and work to a schedule
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Competent in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications
- Initiative to work on own or as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise and have good skills with control of documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
- Ability to work in an environment with constant changing priorities
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Excellent listening skills
- Approachable and supportive personality
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proven ability to work under pressure and prioritise own work
- IOSH Managing Safely Qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proven understanding of environmental and health and safety legislation
