Role Overview
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of forward-thinking global consumers
- Lead and contribute to the design of innovative footwear products
- Guide footwear design projects from concept through execution
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Partner closely with Product Management and Development teams
- Leverage global marketplace insights and trend research
- Provide creative leadership, feedback, and mentorship to designers
- Drive design solutions under the direction of design leadership
- Explore new ways of thinking and solve design challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Footwear Design, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of footwear or product design experience
- Strong design point of view across form, function, comfort, and detailing
- Deep understanding of footwear construction, materials, tooling, specifications, and prototype refinement
- Proven ability to lead design work from concept through production
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing designers
- Expertise in footwear design tools including sketching, 2D and 3D form development, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfort working across global teams and time zones
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
